Special Education
 

Special Education is responsible for the development of assessment plans, evaluations, identification, development of individual education plans (IEPs), and annual and triennial reviews in accordance with state and federal law.

Lincoln Unified provides special education instruction and services for individuals with exceptional needs in accordance with the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. The district recognizes the need to actively seek out and evaluate residents who have disabilities from birth to age 21 within the district, in order to provide them with appropriate educational opportunities in accordance with state and federal law. Lincoln is part of the San Joaquin County Office of Education Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) and follows the SELPA Local Plan.
