Eligibility Requirements
To enroll in an Extended Day Learning Program, students must be enrolled in grades kindergarten through sixth at the school at which the program is being offered. For example, only students enrolled in grades kindergarten through sixth at Brookside School can attend the Extended Day Program offered at Brookside School. Brookside students, however, cannot enroll in an Extended Day Program at any other site.

Fees and Program Operation

Option #1 - Regular Fee Based Schedule
Enrollment in the Extended Day Learning Program now is divided into two blocks of time during the school day for the school year. Cost for services is a flat fee assigned to each block of time. For families with more than one child in the program there is a reduction of cost for each additional child per family.

Description: Accommodates children who have consistent hours of service in the Extended Day Program, Monday through Friday each school week.

Hours Child #1 Child #2 Child #3
1-2 $15.00 $14.00 $13.00
2-4 $17.00 $16.00 $15.00
4-8 $20.00 $19.00 $18.00

The fee is based on the block of time service is contracted for in the signed agreement. Additional charges are required whenever the time for service exceeds the schedule recorded in the agreement. We cannot place a child in the program until the parents sign an Extended Day Program Agreement.

Option #2 - Alternate Fee Based Schedule
The alternate childcare schedule is designed to accommodate families who do not need services every day of the school week but do need regular weekly assigned days and hours. For families with more than one child in the program, there is a reduction of cost for each additional child per family. Please note that in order to meet the adult-child ratio, the Extended Day Learning Program cannot accept "drop-in" or occasional clients.
