Program Improvement Title I
Under No Child Left Behind, districts and schools are expected to make Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) each year toward statewide proficiency goals in English language arts and mathematics for all students.  If a school or district does not make Adequate Yearly Progress targets for two consecutive years in the same content area, it will be identified for Program Improvement.

When districts or schools do not make adequate yearly progress for two consecutive years, they enter into program improvement status.

Lincoln Unified School District is in Year 3+ of Program Improvement and has developed a Program Improvement addendum to its Local Education Plan.  This addendum was written with input from parents, teachers, support staff, site and district administration and has been approved by the Board of Trustees.
